The Municipal Center La Nave Espacio Joven hosts the Open Murcia 2019 on Saturday, June 8, organized by the Spanish Rubik's Cube Association.
From 9.00 am and throughout the day, the twelfth edition of this official Cubo Rubik competition will be held, which since 2008 has been based in Murcia at the youth center, located at Puente Tocinos and dependent on the Youth Service.
This competition is official, which means that just by participating you become a member of the WCA, with the times and positions registered, both nationally, continentally and globally.
This competition is also governed by the Regulations of the WCA World Cube Association
The tests that will be carried out will be 3x3x3 Cube, 2x2x2 Cube, 4x4x4 Cube, Megaminx, Pyraminx, 3x3x3 One-Handed, 3x3 Fewest Moves 3x3x3 Blindfolded and 4x4x4 Blindfolded.
In the first edition in 2008 three world records were broken.
The Frenchman Edouard Chambon broke the Rubik's cube in 9,18 seconds and the average in 11,48 and the Valencian Javier Paris became the first person in Spain to beat a world record, solved the 2x2 cube in 1 , 63 seconds.
Throughout these twelve years, they have beaten in Murcia 5 World Record
6 European Record, 5 South American Records, 71 Spanish Records, 40 Moroccan Records, 4 Argentine Records, 4 French Records, 3 Indonesian Records, 2 Netherlands Records and 2 Romanian Records
