David Vigueras Lucas received this Friday the 'Volunteer of the month' award for the 17 ODSesiones project of the University of Murcia.
The rector of the UMU, José Luján, has been in charge of delivering this recognition for his collaboration and personal involvement in the activities that have been organized to promote the Sustainable Development Goals.
The young man, who belongs to the Astrade association and is autistic, has stood out especially for his joy and gift of people, as well as for the personal interest he has shown in the 17 ODSesiones project.
This is the first prize for the 'Volunteer of the month' that ODSesiones gives to a person who does not belong to the university community.
In this way the institution also wants to recognize the support and participation of non-profit organizations and associations that are collaborating in this initiative that the UMU began last February.
Each month they collaborate in the implementation of the actions around a score of volunteers.
To participate, just go to the volunteer service of the UMU.
ODSesiones is the project that the University of Murcia is developing to promote and raise awareness about the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
Until April 2021, the University will dedicate one month to each of these objectives with outreach, play, training and solidarity activities.
The month of May has revolved around objective 4: 'Quality Education'.
