The International Doctoral School of the University of Murcia (EIDUM) together with the International Doctoral School of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (EINDOC-UPCT) and the Campus Mare Nostrum (CMN) organize the 'V Doctoral Days' that will take place May 29, 30 and 31 in the Faculty of Education.
The opening ceremony will be this Wednesday, May 29, in the auditorium of the Faculty of Education, at 9.30 am and will be attended, among others, by José Luján Alcaraz, rector of the UMU;
Alejandro Díaz Morcillo, rector of the UPCT;
and Juan Monzó Cabrera, general director of Universities and Research of the CARM.
Next, Professor Luc Steels, of the Catalan Institute of Advanced Studies, will offer the inaugural lecture entitled Why superintelligent AI will never exist.
This activity is aimed at doctoral students with the aim of enabling the exhibition and dissemination of the results of the research work carried out in the development of their doctoral theses.
The format of the conference is, therefore, similar to that of a congress or scientific meeting and includes the delivery of plenary lectures, as well as the organization of workshops and exhibition of works.
This multidisciplinary meeting of PhD students aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and research in different branches of knowledge, contributing to the comprehensive training of attendees.
