The Imex Frankfurt fair, one of the most important events of the MICE sector, has started on Tuesday in the German city with the presence of a delegation from the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia in which Murcia Tourism Convention Bureau experts.
This year the Office of Congresses incorporates important novelties among which stand out new spaces for the celebration of singular events, as well as the opening of new air connections planned from the International Airport of the Region of Murcia for the next months, both national, with the opening of connections with Palma de Mallorca and Asturias in June, as internationals with more flights to London and other British destinations.
The Office of Congresses plans to hold direct meetings with more than a dozen tourism agencies such as Grupo Pacifico, Kenes Group, Global Business Travel, Marfa Travel or AIM Spain with the aim of specifying possible operations and consolidating the city of Murcia as a destination of reference for large national agencies
In this edition the offer of the city has been renewed with a new meeting manual with more information on the services available in Murcia and an incentive guide in which activities have been included in natural surroundings close to Murcia such as climbing, canoeing or balloon flights and also in the city itself, which include gastronomic workshops with products from the garden of Murcia and boat trips on the Segura River.
Imex Frankfurt meets every year the main operators of the global meetings industry and will remain open until May 23.
It is expected that more than 9,000 people visit this exhibition consisting of 3,500 exhibitors from 160 countries.
