Students of Journalism, Audiovisual Communication and Advertising participate by attending the press conferences organized at the Submarine Base of the Navy in Cartagena and carrying out special radio and television programs.
The Catholic University is collaborating one more year with the Spanish Navy in the two days of simulation of sinking of the submarine and subsequent rescue of the crew that are being carried out today and tomorrow at the Arsenal Subbase of Cartagena.
Specifically, students in the third and fourth grades of the Faculty of Communication (Journalism, Audiovisual Communication and Advertising and Public Relations) are attending press conferences organized by the military officers of the year and organizing special radio and television programs, as well as to inform through social networks, all within the framework of the subjects of Information on Television, Information in Radio and Management of Communication and Image.
Students perform information practices in crisis situations, generating news about the loss of the submarine, while the Navy searches for the submersible that is incommunicado.
The participating university students will receive a certificate of participation in this event tomorrow.
