The Ministry will dedicate 30,000 euros to training in the field of business creation
The University of Murcia (UMU) and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) will receive funding from the Ministry of Employment, Universities, Business and Environment to carry out training programs, counseling and mentoring aimed at making college students easier to undertake .
This is the objective of two collaboration agreements signed on Tuesday by the Minister of Employment, Universities, Business and the Environment, Javier Celdrán, with the rector of the UMU, José Luján, and the rector of the UPCT, Alejandro Díaz, for carry out joint actions that promote entrepreneurial culture among the university community, which will have a total funding of 30,000 euros.
In total, it is expected to carry out 56 training and entrepreneurship training workshops and 96 hours of mentoring of university projects.
Through these agreements, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the activities of the 'Umuemprende' Entrepreneurship Office of the UMU will be supported.
Among them are 'Start your Final Degree Project / Final Master's Project' so that they can become a business project;
the 'Academic Entrepreneurs' program;
that of 'Entrepreneurial capacities';
and the Information Point for the University Entrepreneur (PiEU).
José Luján, rector of the UMU, has expressed his satisfaction with the signing of this agreement: "INFO support is fundamental for the development of entrepreneurship among the university community and, therefore, for the Region." The vice-rector for Employment, Entrepreneurship and UMU Society has as one of its main objectives to recognize entrepreneurial vocations and stimulate the development of business initiatives among our students. "
