The Podemos-Equo training considers "essential" the work that NGOs develop in the municipality of Murcia.
Therefore, its candidate for mayor, Ginés Ruiz, has not hesitated to participate in the signing of the Pact for a public policy of international cooperation for development.
At the event, which took place in the Moneo building, candidates from other formations have been present.
Ginés Ruiz Maciá has expressed his commitment to this pact and has been firm in the fulfillment of its points.
"We are committed to reaching the figure of 0.7% in a horizon of two legislatures.
For this term that begins we have committed to reach 0.35%.
We think it is acceptable and even insufficient.
We will arrive at the Glorieta with the firm commitment to develop policies that comply with development cooperation and that place this issue among the priorities. "
The mayoral candidate for Podemos-Equo has declared that it is important that "the administration cooperates with the organizations because their work is unpayable and the institutions could not assume it".
In addition, he assured, "the work of NGOs has a positive impact on the municipality, even if it is selfish, we must support them because their work benefits all of us".
