The University of Murcia has celebrated this week the final of the sixth internal league of debate in which they have faced the four equipment that obtained better scores in the classification celebrated in February of this year.
The winning team was formed by Salvador Moreno and Francesc Saldaña.
There has also been a prize for the best speaker of the tournament, Rafael Fernández.
The format of debate has simulated the English parliamentary activity, in which the teams had to propose and criticize a concrete proposal playing different roles.
The dynamics of the tournament established that the participants would not know the specific topic to be debated up to fifteen minutes before starting, since it is an exercise in improvisation, rhetoric and argumentation.
The motion on which they have debated has been 'This house of government regrets the use of the Nordic countries as a reference'.
The event was presented by Samuel Pérez, president of the Debate Club of the UMU;
along with the vice president, Elena García, and the treasurer, Rosana Hidalgo.
After the presentation, José Miguel Rojo, chief judge, drew the roles and announced the motion to debate.
