The head of list of Citizens to the Mayor of Murcia, Mario Gómez, is committed to a more effective use of cultural resources of municipal ownership.
"In Murcia we have underutilized spaces due to the lack of initiative and political vision," said Gómez, who has set as an example the Artillery Barracks, a space that should be given more use by turning it into a City of Arts and Sciences where the educational institutions combine, in a large area, with other cultural and scientific ones ".
Mario Gómez has also announced the design and creation of his own cultural brand, "Huella Barroca", as well as the launch of a Baroque Arts Festival that will make Murcia a cultural destination in demand and a tourist attraction.
Likewise, the candidate of Cs has pointed out that from their training they will bet on "a unique brand that brings together museums and interpretation centers to highlight the great potential and wealth of the municipality of Murcia, which is very little known".
The street as a cultural space
Another of the bets that defends the Cs candidate is the recovery of the street as a cultural space, with the adaptation and modernization of scenic spaces, such as the auditorium of the Fofó Park or the Murcia Park;
and rescuing festivals, which in their day were very well received in Murcia, such as Jazz and Theater.
