The mayor and number 2 of the municipal candidacy for Citizens, Paqui Perez, announced today that during the first hundred days of government, the orange formation will constitute a Universal Accessibility Commission to eliminate the barriers and obstacles that limit the autonomy and well-being of people.
During the act of Full Inclusion held today in the Plaza de Santo Domingo, Paqui Perez has claimed as a requirement and priority condition of municipal management "to ensure that people with disabilities have access to public spaces and services and that they are facilitated reading easy of any kind administrative, informative and legal documents ".
For this, the local candidate has explained that Cs will consign a fixed budget item with a multi-year nature destined to the elimination of all those barriers that, at present, stop the social participation and the equal rights of all the citizens.
"Although in these elections of 26 M more than 3000 new voters with intellectual disabilities may exercise their right to vote in the Region of Murcia, there is much to be done to achieve real equality, also the right to vote," said Paqui Pérez, after listening to the demands of the groups and associations that represent people with intellectual disabilities.
