The University of Murcia has presented on Wednesday the activities of the program 'Nights in the museum' with which the institution will commemorate the International Day of Museums, which this year is celebrated under the theme "Museums as cultural hubs. tradition throughout the world. "
During the event, José Miguel García, head curator of the UMU Museum, has detailed the program of activities that will run from May 14 to 17 and includes performances by the choir and the university orchestra, exhibitions, theatrical performances, workshops pottery, conferences, guided visits to the permanent halls of the museum, as well as debates and a dance show.
On the other hand, the program also includes the presentation of the fortieth flamenco festival of Lo Ferro.
Inmaculada Abenza, head of the Culture Department has pointed out that, in addition to these activities, during this week and mid-June, the Concha Lavella theater hall of the Campus de la Merced hosts the theatrical performance of 'Room 101 (one, nine , eight, four) '.
"It is the first theatrical production of this new journey of the rectoral team," he added.
For his part, Paco Caballero, coordinator of the Culture Service, has expressed his gratitude to all the classrooms that make up the service for his involvement in the development of a program that joins the rest of the commemorative activities of the Night of the Museums in the Region of Murcia.
He has also emphasized the collaboration with ArtNueve art gallery for the exhibitions of the artist Soledad Sevilla.
