The University of Murcia (UMU) consolidates its position as regional leader in R + D + i after the resolution of calls for financing research projects called by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.
63.67% of the funds allocated to institutions of the Region of Murcia has been allocated to projects presented by the University of Murcia, which certifies the role of the institution as a regional engine in innovation.
Specifically, the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities has granted UMU 18 projects as part of the 'Generation of Knowledge' program and 26 for the 'Research Challenges' program.
The total sum of the subsidy received in both calls is 3,550,700 euros.
To these good results are added those obtained in the call for the financial year 2019 carried out by the Seneca Foundation at the regional level.
Fifty-two research projects presented by the University of Murcia have received 2,838,846 euros, which represents 67% of the total granted by the Seneca Foundation to all institutions and research centers in the Region.
These data underscore, once again, the importance of the UMU as a driving force for research, innovation and the development of our society.
This would not be possible without the effort and dedication of the teaching and research staff, which has made the UMU the main institution of higher education in the Autonomous Community.
