The University of Murcia celebrates next Monday, May 6, the seminar 'Archeology of the Andalusian suburbs: the archaeological site of San Esteban in perspective';
a forum in which specialists in archeology will give the keys to the emergence of the Islamic urban landscape and in which researchers who have participated in the field work of the San Esteban field during the last months will give an account of the findings and conclusions they have obtained.
The inauguration of the seminar will take place at 4:00 pm in the Hemicycle of the Faculty of Arts, at the Campus de la Merced.
The rector of the UMU, José Luján Alcaraz will participate in the opening of this scientific forum;
the mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta;
Professor Jorge Eiroa, director of the seminar and director of the excavation;
and Professor José Miguel Noguera, director of the Historical Archeology research group at the UMU.
