The University of Murcia, through the Poncemar Chair of Gerontology, and the City of Lorca present this Tuesday, April 30, the 'Diagnosis of Lorca, friendly city with the elderly', which will take place in the auditorium of the Faculty of Sociosanitarias Sciences of Lorca, at 9.30 am.
The diagnosis has been made by the Matia Gerontological Institute, previous data collection for more than a year by workers of the Poncemar Foundation, both in the urban area and in all districts of the municipality of Lorca, through surveys, focus groups and studies about the city.
In this project, the protagonists are the elderly who actively participate in the design of the city.
The diagnostic phase is the basis on which the Amigability Plan is drawn up, which is expected to be available by the end of 2019.
