Tomorrow, the acts of the Burial of the Sardine Festival begin, with a special day in which the children will have a special role thanks to the celebration of the first parade of the Burial of the Children's Sardine, in which 16 floats will participate and they will be divided toys to the attendees.
It will start at 20 hours from Gutiérrez Mellado Avenue, and will make a tour of Jaime I, Fuensanta Square, Gran Vía, Martínez Tornel and Glorieta, where for the first time the Children's Will will be read, by the Gran Chirrete and Doña Sardinilla, once the parade finishes.
Then the burning of the ecological catafalque will take place on Avenida Teniente Flomesta, in front of the City Hall, and will end with a fireworks display.
The acts that are part of the sardine party will have begun tomorrow at 10 am, in the Cathedral, with the celebration of the traditional Mass in memory of the sardiners, sardines and deceased collaborators.
After the ceremony, there will be a floral offering to the Virgen de la Fuensanta.
On the other hand, at 12 noon, the Plenary Hall will be the setting for the presentation of the Big Fish, Enrique Martínez, and Doña Sardina, Sandra Díaz.
The festive day of tomorrow will be completed with the exhibition and decoration of the floats of the Parade 'Battle of Flowers', which will be located in different squares of the city until their participation in the tour, which will be the next day.
7,000 meat pies
Before, from 19 hours, the Artillery Barracks will host a new edition of the 'Homage to the meat pie'.
On this occasion, 7,000 units of this delicacy will be distributed that have been prepared by 20 students from the School of Catering of the Training Center and Employment Initiatives of the City of Murcia.
It will be an occasion, therefore, to value this service, dependent on the Department of Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, directed by Jesús Pacheco, giving the opportunity to young people who are trained in this school to give to Murcia a traditional product of the municipality cooked by them.
