The Association of Consumers and Users on the Web, CONSUMUR, on the occasion of the celebration of the Spring Festival, recommends that citizens defend their rights, as consumers and users, and file a claim if they consider that they are violated.
In this sense, the organization asks the City of Murcia to carry out inspections in the barracks, with the aim of avoiding irregularities in terms of consumption.
CONSUMUR considers it essential for inspectors to control hygiene in food sold in the barracks and the existence of street vendors without a license, since their products are mainly food, so a lack of control over them can cause serious problems if their state is deficient.
Also, the organization recommends special precaution with the sale of alcohol in the barracks and other establishments to ensure that it is not distributed to minors.
In relation to the prices of products marketed in the barracks, CONSUMUR reminds consumers and users that these are free and can vary significantly from one day to the next, so they have to be fixed in the price lists, both barracks and Hotel establishments are obliged to clearly exhibit to the public.
These prices must include the Value Added Tax (VAT).
Likewise, CONSUMUR asks the public to be demanding with the conditions of food preservation, although in this sense the organization positively highlights the high quality of the food products marketed in the barracks, respecting the current legislation on food safety.
In relation to the consumption of beverages, the organization asks for prudence with the drink and, above all, remembers that fun is not measured by the amount of alcohol that is ingested.
