At 9.30 pm there will be a great pyromusical show open to all Murcia in this Spring Garden, "which recreates a cultural and landscape emblem of our town," said José Ballesta.
Monteagudo and its most emblematic monument is thus moved to La Circular, with a large orchard in 360 degrees that embraces the 20-meter-high recreation of the Arab Castle of the 11th century, topped by the image of the Christ.
The Circular will become tonight the epicenter of the Spring Festival with the inauguration of 'The Gardens of the King Wolf', the floral monument presided over by a reproduction of the Castle of Monteagudo, which recreates the beauty of the gardens of Ibn Mardanis and the fertility of the Huerta de Murcia.
Mayor José Ballesta, together with members of the Municipal Corporation, will attend this event at 9:30 p.m.
Later at 10 pm there will be the inauguration of the barracks in the Fame garden (Parque de los Perros), a total of 43 small vents where, in addition to tasting the typical cuisine, you can observe the decoration and crafts of La Huerta, thanks to the work that the Peñas Huertanas do throughout the year.
The monument 'Los Jardines del Rey Lobo' is one of the 23 Spring Gardens that are inaugurated tonight coinciding with the start of the most international festivities in Murcia.
They have used more than 300,000 flowering plants and millions of flowers that symbolize the rebirth of Murcia during the spring and welcome the Murcia and thousands of tourists who come to the municipality during these dates.
Monteagudo and its most emblematic monument is moved to La Circular, with a large orchard in 360 degrees that embraces the 20-meter-high recreation of the Arab Castle of the 11th century crowned by the image of the Christ of Monteagudo, the work of the Murcian sculptor Nicolás Martínez Ramón.
José Ballesta has said that "it is a tribute to this heritage, which dominates the entire Huerta de Murcia, and is a cultural and landscape emblem of our town, which recreates the beauty of the gardens of Ibn Mardanis, prosperous king of Murcia and one of the most outstanding figures of the Mediterranean political scene of the XII century ".
Specifically, in this garden has been reflected the fertility of the Huerta de Murcia with 135 trees (orange, lemon, palm, olive, mulberry, carob, pear and cypress), a total of 17,700 plants (geranium, mastic, ferns, jasmine , agaves, paleras, boxwood ...) and 2,000 palm leaves.
