The rains have also led to several incidents, such as the collapse of part of an old house in Torreagüera, causing slight injuries to the woman residing there and her two children, who did not need to be transferred to the health center.
Also, a woman had to be rescued by the firemen in the underground tunnel of Beniaján to have been trapped by the water after not having respected the traffic cut of that road.
Also Firemen had to remove a fallen tree on a car in the same district.
On the other hand, in the surroundings of the Palacio de los Deportes, where renovation works of the pavement and trees are being carried out, several trees have fallen.
The technicians of the Park and Garden Service are already working in that area, as well as in other green areas and trees lined up where there have been incidents.
The rest of the notices received have been, mainly, by raised sewer lids and by water accumulations.
It must be remembered that the City Council has activated a special device before the alert of heavy rains and storms of the State Meteorological Agency consisting of various municipal services such as Local Police, Civil Protection, Fire, Traffic, Murcia Water, Street Cleaning, Street Lighting and Parks and Gardens.
In this way, a device is maintained coordinated by the Local Police for surveillance and control of the flood areas of the municipality that will be operational for the duration of these weather conditions.
