The Rector of the UMU, José Luján has informed of the meeting held last Tuesday, 9th, with the rectoral team of the UPCT.
In this work meeting issues of common interest between both institutions, especially financing, were addressed.
Next, the academic calendar for the next academic year 2019-20 has been approved.
The Vice Chancellor for Employment, Entrepreneurship and Society, Alicia Rubio, has reported the creation of the Chair "Lorca Marín de Cirugía", as well as the change of name of the "Caixa de Obra Social La Caixa de Autismo", which will be renamed " Chair of Obra Social La Caixa of Social Inclusion and Non-Cognitive Skills ".
Among the collaboration agreements signed by the University of Murcia, are the General Protocol of action between the Cervantes Institute, the National Autonomous University of Mexico, the University of Salamanca and the University of Buenos Aires, institutions holding the SIELE, International Evaluation Service of the Language, and the UMU for recognition as an associate of this service.
An agreement has also been signed with the Yunus Center of Bangladesh (center led by Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize in 2006), for the use by our university of the name "Yunus" in the creation of a center for entrepreneurship for the promotion of social enterprises.
The Vice-Rector of Studies, Sonia Madrid, has reported the renewal of the 23 doctoral programs of the UMU submitted for evaluation by ANECA.
It is the first time that these study programs have been subjected to evaluation, obtaining one hundred percent of those presented the renewal of accreditation.
The vice-rector congratulated the International Doctoral School and the rest of the staff of the university that participated in this evaluation.
Likewise, the reports of the master's degrees in Dependency, in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and the Master's Degree in 'International Business' have been approved.
These memories are sent to ANECA for verification.
Likewise, the Joint Program of Official Teachings of the Degree in Criminology and the Degree in Security that will be taught at the Faculty of Law and the ISEN attached center of Cartagena has been approved.
Finally, the Call for Aid for Teaching Innovation Groups corresponding to this course has been approved.
At the proposal of the vice-rectorship of Quality, Culture and Communication, whose head is Fco. Javier Martínez Méndez, the Governing Council has approved the updating of the survey procedure of the biannual evaluation of the teaching staff (whose previous version dated from the year 2010).
It has also approved the procedure for dissemination of information and debate among the university community of the new model of evaluation of university faculty, with the idea that it is approved with the maximum possible consensus in the Governing Council of December 2019 .
The call for 20 FPU Predoctoral Contracts of the Own Plan for the Promotion of Research and Transfer and the regulatory bases of the grants for the organization of Congresses and Scientific-Technical Meetings of the Own Plan for Research and Transfer has also been approved.
At the proposal of the Vice-Rector of Planning, María Belén López Morales, of the Infrastructures, the call for assistance in practices for the acquisition of consumable and inventoried material.
In matters of teaching staff, the proposal for the award of doctor assistant positions for retirement or definitive withdrawal from full-time teaching staff in areas with deficits for the 2019-2020 academic year has been approved.
Finally, the Governing Council has approved the creation of the Digital Transformation Commission that will serve as a transmitting belt of the transformation process to the rest of the organization and will advise on the design and periodic review of the Digital Strategy of the University of Murcia.
