The Governing Board has approved two improvement projects in sports facilities.
On the one hand, the extension and installation of artificial turf on the 7th Guadeloupe soccer field and, on the other hand, the renewal of artificial turf pavement on nine padel courts of the sports complex in Juan Carlos I.
In the first of them, the intervention will consist of the installation of artificial synthetic grass pavement in an approximate area of 2,700 square meters.
Likewise, a new field will be created on the existing one of soccer 7 with a size of playing field of 52.50 x 37.00 meters for football, with grass bands of 1.50 meters on the sides and 2.70m-2, 00m.
The artificial turf allows intensive use of the installation, unlike natural grass, whose maximum utilization ratio is around 10 hours per week.
It also provides a boat and ball speed, absorption of impacts, resistance to ultraviolet rays and protection against muscle overloads and injuries, such that the Royal Spanish Football Federation are beginning to accept only artificial turf facilities of these characteristics.
This project is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, coordinated by the Department of Pedanías, Participación y Decentralización, which is managed by Marco Antonio Fernández.
The term of execution of this project, in which 110,603 euros will be invested, is two months.
In the case of the padel courts of the sports complex of Juan Carlos I, the tender has a maximum budget of 45,846 euros, and an expected execution period of 15 days.
In this case, the file is processed by the Department of Sports and Health, directed by Felipe Coello.
