Several candidates for mayoralties of the region, as well as the Regional Assembly and the Congress of Deputies have asked to meet with HUERMUR to know the state of the Huerta de Murcia, as well as the cultural heritage and landscape
The conservationist organization on this occasion organizes its proposals in 5 major areas and subjects, after the documents made in previous elections, as in the 2011 and 2015 calls
The Association for the Conservation of the Garden and the Heritage of Murcia, HUERMUR, proposes to the candidatures, coalitions and political parties that are presented to the different calls held in April and May of this year, a battery of 100 measures to protect the cultural heritage, the landscape and the Huerta de Murcia.
For HUERMUR, although in recent years it has been put on the public agenda the importance of cultural heritage and the need to recover and preserve the Huerta de Murcia, "public administrations have much work to do, and more than ever since coordination, transparency and participation ".
Since the conservation association has been made a document that includes 100 proposals, organized into 5 major areas, such as cultural heritage (28 measures), urban planning and environment (26 measures), traditional irrigation (21 measures), inter-administrative coordination, transparency and citizen participation (18 measures), in addition to an initial block with the 7 main proposals.
In recent weeks, HUERMUR has been receiving requests from different candidates for local, regional and general elections to organize work meetings and technical visits to the heritage and the Huerta.
These candidates will be given the document drafted with the 100 proposed measures.
HUERMUR has already made similar proposals in the past, such as in the 2011 and 2015 elections, in addition to having received visits from national deputies and members of committees of the Congress of Deputies.
On this occasion, the document has been organized in large areas and subjects, for a better inclusion of the same in those programs of the candidates that so assume them, as well as for their presentation to the sectoral leaders of the different electoral groups.
The 7 main proposals included in the document of 100 measures are:
-Incubation zero in the ditches and channels of the Huerta de Murcia.
-Rescue of the Historical Heritage of the Huerta de Murcia.
-Review of the General Urban Plan of Murcia.
-Review of catalogs of municipal protection of cultural heritage.
-Promoting and respecting citizen participation.
-Democratization and opening of the Social Council of the City of Murcia.
- Compliance with state, regional and local regulations in matters of transparency.
