Professor Cecilia Azorín, from the Department of Didactics and School Organization of the University of Murcia, has received a prestigious international award in Toronto from the hand of Michael Fullan, one of the world's leading authorities in the field of education.
This is, in particular, the 'Michael Fullan Emerging Scholar Award', an award granted to researchers who, within the first five years of their postdoctoral career have shown a solid academic and research record.
It is an international recognition in which candidates from all countries of the world have participated.
Spain was among the last three finalists with the candidacy of the professor of UMU, along with New Zealand and the United States.
Finally, the jury, led by Professor Andy Hargreaves, voted unanimously that Azorín was the winner of this award.
