The Chief Inspector of the Local Police of Murcia, José María Mainar, received this morning from the Government delegate, the Medal of Merit for Civil Protection.
The act, which also has decorated the Spanish Red Cross Region of Murcia, has assisted the Councilor for Traffic and Citizen Security.
Mainar has been Deputy Inspector of the Local Police of Murcia since 1995 and was appointed chief inspector last year.
The medals awarded, according to the Order of the Ministry of the Interior of April 13, 1982, are granted to those persons who stand out for their activities in the protection of persons and goods that could be affected by emergency situations in cases of serious risk, catastrophe or public calamity, through the performance of singular acts that imply notorious risk or exceptional solidarity.
