Huermur tacha of "sloppy" the Regulation of the Sectoral Council of Cultural Heritage of the Municipality of Murcia (09/04/2019)

Huermur has submitted allegations to the initial approval of the Regulation of the Sectoral Council of the Cultural Heritage of the Municipality of Murcia, since the Consistory expressly excludes from its scope of work the intangible, oral, bibliographic, and documentary heritage of the municipality.

The conservationist group describes this regulation as a fudge that the City Council and its leaders intend to approve definitively, and points out that it would not comply with the provisions of the regional law on cultural heritage.

Huermur warns that if the demands exposed are not met, there will be no hesitation in going to court to guarantee a sectoral council with all the guarantees and that is effectively participatory and guarantor of the protection of the heritage of Murcia.

The Association for the Conservation of the Garden and the Heritage of Murcia (Huermur) dismisses the text of the regulation that the Murcia City Council intends to approve for the operation of the Sectorial Council of the Cultural Heritage of the Municipality of Murcia.

In this sense, Huermur states that the fudge is of such magnitude, that the City Council refuses to consider the intangible heritage as an area of work of the council, unlike what is stated in the Law of Heritage of the Region of Murcia that considers it part of member of the cultural heritage, as well as the ethnographic, bibliographic, oral heritage, etc.

In the same sense, Huermur points out that even in the administrative file, there are no specific technical reports that support the current wording and articulation of the proposed Regulation for this important Heritage Council, since the suggestions presented in the procedure that was opened for it, so the collective reproach the haste that has been given from the Roundabout to approve this forced marches, on dates so close to the elections.

Finally, Huermur warns that if the demands set forth in the pleadings submitted are not met, there will be no hesitation in going to court to guarantee a sectoral council with all the guarantees, which is effectively participatory and guarantees the protection of the assets of Murcia, and adjusted to the mandates of the regional law of cultural heritage.
