The artist Victoria Chezner is lost in the woods with 'Tu presencia', a work that will be exhibited at the Museo del Teatro Romano in Cartagena from this Friday, April 5 at 8 pm, and which will remain until June 30.
In the exhibition, curated by the teaching innovation group of the University of Murcia (UMU) AEC (art in construction / Ecotono), UMU's painting professor Victoria Chezner explores a nature in which old roots coexist with a landscape plagued with vines.
Within the exhibition highlights Anatomy of a process, a work of six meters long, in which prevail the dull colors and the languor of the natural landscape.
The artist submerges us in the forest floor, seeking to hear the rubbing of feet and vegetation, while flooding our eyes with an amalgam of colors and playing with the natural lights of the landscape.
In the other works focuses on the details, giving prominence to the branches, the thorns and the roughness of the trunks of the trees, which are complemented by the great works.
And it is that, Chezner is an advocate of the sensitive and emotional look of the landscape and skillfully handles color and pigments to unite the work of art with nature.
The color, which is earth, leaf or resin, is born in nature and comes to art.
The visual artist Victoria Chezner holds a PhD in Fine Arts with a European Mention from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a Masters in Education and Museums, Heritage, Identity and Mediation from the University of Murcia (UMU).
She is a teacher in the Painting area of ​​the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Murcia and currently also vice-dean of Academic Coordination and Students and grade coordinator.
His line of research is Painting and Landscape, both in the field of scientific production, as well as in artistic production.
Among his recent solo exhibitions are 'Caminos de luz' (2017, Murcia), 'Siempre y Jamás' (2016, Lorca), 'Campo a través' (2010, Alcoy, Spain), 'Horizontes' (2010, Buenos Aires, Argentina), 'Obzory' (2010, Brno, Czech Republic), 'Webscapes' (2009, Valencia, Spain), 'Moradores' (2009, Sant Joan d'Alacant, Spain), 'Odor a lejos' (2008, Torrepacheco , Spain), 'De límites invisibles' (2008, Alicante, Spain) and 'Einfühlung-Transvivir' (2007, Murcia, Spain).
In addition, Chezner has illustrated the Atlas of Landscapes of the Region of Murcia (2009), as well as other publications and since 2007 coordinates the teaching project 'Paisaje UM.
