An agreement between the City Council and the University of Murcia, which has been approved today in the Governing Board, will allow technicians from the University of Murcia to carry out toxicological analyzes related to violations against road safety.

This will mean greater efficiency, speed and cheaper costs in the performance of blood alcohol or drug contrast tests and provided that the regulatory procedure requires it.

These complementary analyzes and subsequent to the tests carried out in the Local Police controls will be carried out in the laboratories thanks to the technical means of the university institution.

This agreement will be valid for four years and may be extended by express agreement of both parties for a period of up to four additional years.
