The city of Murcia has been designated the venue for the Young and Junior Boxam International Tournament, which will be held from 9 to 14 April in the Prince of Asturias Pavilion.
The Governing Board has approved at its meeting today, at the proposal of the Department of Sports and Health, directed by Felipe Coello, the collaboration agreement between the Spanish Boxing Federation and the City of Murcia that will make possible the celebration of this Championship Boxing International Boxing Tournament "Boxam" Youth & Junior at the municipal facility.
The aforementioned tournament constitutes a sport of international repercussion, which is why it offers an exceptional opportunity for the promotion of the hobby and the practice of physical activity and sport.
It will bring together some 180 athletes of different nationalities, as well as technicians and organizations, with 230 people in addition to the family members who will attend the event, which will generate benefits for companies in the hospitality industry and local commerce, assuming a great economic impact For the city.
In addition, the presentation of the "Boxam 2019" International Championship with the participation of the Spanish Boxing Team, as well as the promotion of the event in the websites specialized in boxing, will allow a tourist promotion of the municipality, both at a regional, national and international level. international.
