The Governing Board has approved the project and specifications of administrative clauses to contract the remodeling works of the Pintor Pedro Flores garden, whose performance is part of the DNA initiative of El Carmen.
In this case, it is an initiative promoted by the Department of Modernization of Urban Administration and Development, directed by José Guillén, and has a bid budget of 265,371 euros and an expected execution period of 5 months.
The works include the complete remodeling of the garden, both the improvement of accessibility, as the installation of playgrounds, landscaping and gardening, renewal of irrigation infrastructure and placement of new urban furniture.
This area, of 2,500 m 2 , will be developed as a 'playground' generating areas of use by ages with elements of different consideration.
But the main protagonism will fall on the children, who will enjoy in this 'playground' that will have modern and innovative games for children, as well as a multi-purpose sports track and an obstacle course.
The works will consist in the excavation and removal of the disintegrated and extended terrain, removal of the existing urban furniture, elimination of the salvaparterre of the landscaped areas, paving and paving of access corridors to the children's areas.
A multisport track with different uses will also be built, obstacle course on a continuous rubber base, execution of coverings with microperforated fabrics for the development of tensile structures in the children's area and in the pergola at the entrance to the Garden.
In addition, the project includes new bush plantations and installation of irrigation network, children's area with continuous rubber floor and street furniture, banks of different kinds and paper mills.
