The San Juan de Dios Monumental Complex of Murcia receives tomorrow, April 4 (8:00 pm), the Madrid-based L'Apothéose in a new concert of the ancient music cycle 'Murcia.

'A tribute to tears' is the title of the program that this young ensemble from Madrid will offer.
After the success of their previous recording, dedicated to recover part of the musical heritage preserved in the National Library of Spain, the training is immersed in a new project for which they have made a careful selection of Haendel's works (1685-1759), one of the most outstanding baroque composers that stands out for the great knowledge of musical figures to represent and describe the most varied affects in their compositions.
The general director of the Institute of Cultural Industries and the Arts (ICA), Marta López-Briones, said that "thanks to this consolidated cycle, we are enjoying in the Murcia Region some of the best formations and performers of ancient music of the country, without forgetting of course the musicians of our Region ", and stressed that" cycles like San Juan de Dios complement the varied musical program offered by regional venues, with the Víctor Villegas Auditorium at the top, reaching a public increasingly broad and diverse. Tickets for the concert tomorrow are priced at 10 euros (6 for students, retirees and unemployed) and can be purchased in advance at the box office of the Filmoteca de la Región (afternoon hours).
The rest will go on sale on the day of the concert in San Juan de Dios.

The formation
L'Apothéose was born in December 2015 as a space for celebration, reflection and experimentation around historical music.
The formation is integrated by Laura Quesada (traverso), Carla Sanfélix (baroque violoncello), Víctor Martínez (baroque violin) and Asís Márquez (historical keyboards).
The name of the ensemble arose from the title of the work 'L'Apothéose de Corelli', by François Couperin, a piece that constituted the first musical project of the members of the group and the starting point of a fruitful musical journey that is leading L 'Apotheose some of the main Spanish and European venues such as the International Festival of Santander, Oude Muziek of Utrecht, Musical Fortnight of San Sebastian, Internationale Händel Festspiele Göttingen, Festival of Sacred Art of the Community of Madrid, Torroella de Montgrí Festival, Ancient Music Festival of Úbeda and Baeza, FeMÀS among others.
Its interpreters have a solid background, both classical and historicist, and have been part of formations such as the Royal Chapel of Madrid, La Madrileña, Bachorchester Mainz, Insula Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Spain, among others.
As a group, he has received advice from teachers such as Richard Egarr, Jana Semerádová, Claire Guimond, Kristin von der Goltz, Jesper Christensen, Alberto Martínez and Guillermo Peñalver, and during these years, his work has been recognized through different prizes,
His chamber music repertoire ranges from the early Baroque to the end of Classicism, traveling through all the great European nations and their different styles.
