The Plenary of the City Council has unanimously agreed to urge the Government Delegation to adopt the necessary measures so that the frequent breakdowns that are taking place in the elevators of the Santiago de la Mayor footbridge have the lowest incidence in pedestrian traffic.
This point has been included at the proposal of the Popular Group in the unanimously approved motion that provides for the convening of a working meeting to analyze what initiatives can be carried out to achieve maximum use of the shuttle bus, which is the goal of the Department of Finance, Contracting and Urban Mobility, directed by Eduardo Martínez-Oliva.
The holder of transport has informed the Plenary of the meeting held last week with the president and the PP member of the municipal board, as a result of which it was decided to extend two more stops, in Morera and Pío XII, the itineraries of the shuttle bus and Ray 80.
Martínez-Oliva recalled that since the closure of the crossing at the level of Santiago el Mayor occurred on March 19, are also underway alternative measures in traffic management that are functioning properly, according to local police reports which indicate that no notable incidents have been recorded.
