The Citizens Paqui Perez will defend a motion in the Plenary on Tuesday urging the local government to initiate the necessary procedures for the Municipal Observatory of the Bicycle to study and assess the necessary proposals to improve the safety of the stretch of two kilometers of the bike lane between Algezares and La Alberca.
"This is a stretch of almost four kilometers, one and a half meters wide shared by cyclists and pedestrians who go out for a walk and practice sports.
A route that does not have adequate safety measures, neither on the side of the road to the South Coast, nor on the other, where there are large differences in level and no protection, which has caused many falls in the area and that people circulate with fear ", Pérez explained.
"We hope that Observatorio de la Bicicleta will take measures as soon as possible because there are many users who use this route to play sports and go for a walk," he concluded.
