The Department of Social Rights and Development Cooperation, led by Conchita Ruiz, has scheduled for this year a total of 144 training courses with the aim of expanding and deepening the personal and professional training of women, strengthening their skills in both skills personal and social and favoring social participation and personal empowerment.
This training offer responds to the demands of the women's associations and centers themselves, and among the topics it includes, those related to access and improvement of knowledge and use of information and communication technologies, the use of internet and social networks, as well as the management and safe use of various technological devices.
Another of the areas of training demanded by women's associations and that has taken into account the council in this programming are aspects related to the promotion of women's health, especially health that seeks physical, emotional, sexual and Social.
Also, during this year will be developed courses on artistic and historical heritage and those aimed at the development of corporal and artistic expression, theater and performing arts in order to participate in theater groups of associations and in exhibitions and contests.
Courses have also been included to improve the training of women towards entering the labor market and expand their employability, as well as to increase women's professional skills, focusing on learning the English language, or training for specific professional activities, of which there is a demand for employment.
Also, courses will be developed to discover personal talents and new professional profiles.
This initiative that develops the Department of Social Rights from the area of ​​Equality, is aimed at promoting women's associations and the promotion of equal opportunities between gender.
The women's centers of the City of Murcia are spaces that favor the meeting and formation, learning and transmission of values ​​such as equality and solidarity as well as participation for many women in our municipality, resulting in a positive effect on both individual level as a collective.
In total, 73 Women's Centers and 6 women's associations have requested training courses, which are taught in the associations' own premises.
To access the courses, those interested should contact the association and / or women's center where each subject is taught.
Likewise, the complete offer of courses will be published on the website https://serviciossociales.murcia.es and can be accessed free of charge, being a member of the center or association where it is taught, until completing the maximum number of students determined in each course.
