The University of Murcia participates this Saturday, March 30, in the MoviEléctrica fair of promotion and disclosure of the electric vehicle, which will take place in the Thader shopping center.
The institution, which will be present at the meeting through the Technical Unit, will publicize the actions, measures and projects developed in the field of energy efficiency within the Sustainable Campus project, belonging to the Vice-Rectorate for Planning Infrastructures.
In addition, electric and hybrid vehicles from the UMU will be exhibited and information will be offered on the recharging points available in the university facilities, as well as on the sustainability models that have been developed in the five university campuses.
It is worth mentioning that, within these models, the UMU has ten photovoltaic solar installations with a production capacity of 3,627,128 KWh / year, which cover 16 percent of energy needs and prevent the emission into the atmosphere of 1,814,759 kg CO2 / year approximately.
The participation of the UMU in the MoviEléctrica fair is part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) marked by the United Nations in a firm commitment of the institution in the fight against climate change, depletion of resources, pollution and mobility sustainable.
