The Governing Board has approved the project and the start of its tender, with a budget of 273,000 euros and a deadline of 6 months.
The infrastructure, which is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, responds to a demand from the residents of Corvera, where the facility will be located, and from the other locations in the area
Before the summer begins construction of the Corvera fairground, whose project and specifications for its bidding have been approved today by the Governing Board, within the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, coordinated by the Department of Districts , Participation and Decentralization, directed by Marco Antonio Fernández.
The new infrastructure, which will occupy a municipal plot, will have an approximate area of 5,700 m 2 with capacity for 8,000 people in case of concerts, with the planned installation of 9 fair attractions or 20 tents for stands, clubs, etc.
Its location, very close to the center of the district, will facilitate the celebration of popular events, such as fairs, sectorial days, parties, business and social activities, as well as concerts and cultural events.
In addition, the perimeter fence of the large esplanade where it is located will allow, on the one hand, the installation of booths, attractions, stands and different types of temporary infrastructure, and, on the other hand, a covered area of 450 m 2 will be enabled with a height of up to 9 meters, which will also enable the installation of other equipment.
The access to the plot is made by the Finca El Villar road, where the pavement will be paved to allow pedestrian traffic to the enclosure formed by a portico of 4 m high and 8 m wide that will have the inscription "Fairground" with metallic letters, illuminated with LED technology.
The estimated budget amounts to 273,960 euros, of which the City will contribute 223,000 euros and the rest will be financed through the Campoder program.
Samples, fairs and parties
Its construction, whose expected execution period is six months, will improve the leisure offer of the population and contribute to the promotion of the local economy through the realization of gastronomic samples, trade fairs and patron saint festivities in an enclosure designed specifically for such purpose.
The project whose construction will begin in the coming months responds to a claim of the residents of Corvera and the set of populations that make up the Campo de Murcia (Baños y Mendigo, Lobosillo, Valladolises, La Murta, Los Martinez del Puerto, Avileses, Gea and Truyols and Sucina).
On the other hand, the location of the enclosure, close to the intersection between the roads of Fuente Álamo (RM - 601) and that of Los Martínez del Puerto, guarantees its optimal accessibility.
