The cloister of the Bishopric today hosted the IV World Youth Day Ciudad de Murcia 2019, an event in which 300 schoolchildren from seven Murcia schools and their teachers participated, and which was attended by the Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, who highlighted the work of the team of teachers who have led this initiative.
"A teacher knows and teaches, but a teacher knows, teaches and loves.
And he knows that you only really learn what is taught with love, "said the mayor.
The day, celebrated under the slogan 'With a thousand colors', also featured the interventions of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, and the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, José Manuel Lorca Planes.
The children CEIP San Juan, Juan XXII, Kingdom of Murcia, La Arboleda, Narciso Yepes, Santa Maria de la Paz School (Jesutinas) and San Buena Ventura (Capuchins) put their voice at the service of those who need it most, performing different songs as 'Color Hope', 'Hey Jude' or 'Do not Stop Dreaming'.
The beneficiary organizations of the day are Cáritas and Asociación Leyva (For the development of leisure and free time for people with intellectual disabilities in the Region of Murcia).
