The City of Murcia adheres one more year to 'Earth Hour'.
It is an initiative of WWF that was born in 2007, and that seeks to turn off the light for an hour as a symbolic demonstration of the fight against climate change.
The motto chosen for this year is 'Turn off by nature in the hour of the planet', encouraging neighbors around the world to contribute from their homes and add by turning off the lights.
Thus, on Saturday, from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm, the Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace, the building annexed to the Town Hall, Santo Domingo Church, Las Claras Convent, Old Bridge, Sardine Sculpture in the Segura River, Manterola Pasarela, Castillo of Monteagudo and Pasarela Manterola will no longer be illuminated as a sign of the commitment of our municipality.
In this way, Murcia joins the largest global initiative in defense of the environment and aims to mobilize more than 7,000 cities around the world to demonstrate global support for action against climate change by turning off the lights of its main buildings and monuments.
