The Governing Board has approved the project and specifications for the contracting of the construction works of sports tracks and skate area in Algezares, for an amount of 301,455 euros and an execution period of 8 months.
It is part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías coordinated by the Department of Pedanías, Participación y Descentralización, which is managed by Marco Antonio Fernández.
The objective is the execution of a multi-sport area in a 2,900 square meter municipal plot, where an artificial turf soccer field will be built, with a dimension of 47 x 25 meters, which will meet the requirements to be approved by the International Federation of Football (FIFA).
It will have exterior enclosures and pre-installations for electricity and water since it is expected to build locker rooms and quantity at a later stage.
There is also a skate park with different polished concrete ramps, forming a central island that allows different routes and movements and a mini - basketball court, attached to the skate area.
