The Governing Board has approved two projects that will improve the conditions of the social centers for the elderly of Espinardo and Cabezo de Torres.
For the first of them, the intervention will involve the adaptation of a room located on the ground floor of a building on Main Street, after the performance, will have a reading room, gym, cafeteria with kitchen and dining room and multipurpose room, hairdresser, administrative offices and toilets, with a total built area of ​​460.40 m 2 .
The City Council will invest in these works, which will be developed in a period of 8 months, 329,933 euros.
The Governing Board has also given its approval to the project and specifications to contract the renovation work on the ground floor of the Cabezo de Torres Senior Social Center to improve its functionality.
In this way, the area of ​​the ground floor will be extended to the general hall and the kitchen and bar, of 376 square meters, and the existing toilets will be adapted.
In addition, the carpentry and plumbing, sanitation and electricity will be renewed.
The planned investment amounts to 298,160 euros and the execution period is estimated at 4 months.
Both projects are part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, coordinated by the Department of Pedanías, Participación y Descentralización, directed by Marco Antonio Fernández.
