The University of Murcia closes this Friday, March 22, the first thematic days of francophone cinema 'Migrants: À la recherche du' paradis', organized by the French General and Applied Linguistic Research Group, belonging to the French Philology area of ​​the UMU
The program of activities will begin at 4:00 pm with the conference 'The figure of the migrant in French-Spanish cinema' by Dolores Thion, professor at the University of Pau et des Pays de l'Adour, which will take place in the Hemicycle of the Faculty of Letters.
At 7:15 p.m., the Culture Hall of the Cajamurcia Foundation will host the screening of the film 'L'Esquive', by Abdellatif Kechiche, Ghalya Lacroix, which will be presented previously by Professor Marine Abraham and the student of the degree in French Studies María Manzano
After the screening, at 8:45 pm, there will be a round table with the participation of Elena Macías Otón, Jerónimo Martínez Cuadrado and Mª José Ros Manzanares, teachers of the UMU;
and Mª Dolores Rubio Miras on behalf of the students of the Degree in French Studies.
It will be moderated by Mercedes Eurrutia.
Finally, the closing ceremony of the conferences that have been held since Wednesday, will take place at 9:30 p.m. and will be attended by the Honorary Consul of France in the Region of Murcia.
