The councilman of Urbanism, Environment, Water and Kitchen garden, Antonio Navarro, has responded to Now Murcia that "the project of regulating ordinance of the rates by provision of the services of domiciliary supply of water, sewage and sanitation and other services and activities rendered in relation to the integral water cycle in the municipality of Murcia is being processed following the procedure established by law, as everything that this Government Team does ".
Navarro reminded Now Murcia that "the Governing Board approved the draft ordinance on Friday, now it will be sent to the General Directorate of Commerce, Consumption and Administrative Simplification and subsequently must be ratified by the Plenary, the last step for its entry into vigor"
The councilman criticized that Murcia now opposes that "157,000 families benefit this year from the drop of up to 5.42% in the water bill, not wanting 4,000 families to qualify for reductions provided by the tariff nor that the conservation rate of meters be cut by 45% ".
"Tariffs of a social nature planned for water and sewerage consumption for families at risk of exclusion will be reduced by 25%, a percentage that will also be applied to the garbage rate." Now Murcia is also opposed to the more social water rates of the history of the municipality, "Navarro insisted.
