This was stated this morning at the meeting of the working table, which brings together representatives of local and regional administration, professional associations, business and user organizations, as well as vehicle dealers, among others.
Among the actions valued by the table is the creation of a network of municipal free recharging points, subsidies for the purchase of vehicles, the reservation of parking spaces and the exemption in the payment of the ORA.
64% of the measures included in the Local Strategy of the Electric Vehicle of the City of Murcia is already underway -18- or the actions have been planned -14-.
The strategy, which was approved in 2017 as a result of a participatory process, aims to define the lines of work on which to implement measures to promote electric mobility and create a framework of collaboration with the most relevant local actors to join forces and advance to a greater rhythm and in an integral way.
This was stated this morning at the meeting of the working group created for this purpose, which is attended by representatives of local and regional administration, professional associations, business and user organizations, as well as vehicle dealers, among others.
Its purpose is to hold regular meetings to evaluate the effectiveness of the municipal action and see the progress of compliance with the actions contained in the final document, which defines the execution of 50 measures that revolve around five axes: information and citizen awareness;
promotion and promotion of electric mobility;
development of the infrastructures associated with the electric vehicle;
incentives;
and citizen participation and agents related to sustainable mobility.
The actions carried out correspond to those that identified as most urgent the social and economic agents involved in the strategy and members of the working group.
Among these it stands out:
- Creation of a network of municipal free recharging points: located in Glorieta, Ronda Sur, Plaza Circular and Jaime I (double), while another one is about to enter into operation at Avenida Río Segura.
The sites were also selected through a participatory process.
In addition, there are 6 public car parks equipped with charging infrastructure and 18 more charging points for private initiative but public access
- Electric recharge in neighboring communities
- Subsidies for the purchase of electric vehicles, improving energy efficiency and equipping community garages with recharging infrastructure: 52 admitted applications and a total of 72,825 euros granted
- Reservation of exclusive parking spaces for electric vehicles: 50 seats available, monitored with sensors and an App
- Exemption in the payment of the ORA and areas of residents to electric vehicles
- Public and private shared electric motorbike project
One of the data exposed in the table of work has been the increase of 390% registered in the registrations of electric vehicles in the Region of Murcia from 2015 to the present, according to data of the DGT.
Thus, five years ago, 49 units were verified, 68 in 2016, 97 in 2017, 137 in 2018 and 191 in 2019.
