The director of the entity, Angel Carrillo, explained that "for the second time we have been invited by the Neighborhood Board and Church of Santo Angel (Murcia) to offer this time a Lenten concert after the proclamation of Easter in this town, which we have structured in two sections, dedicating the first to exclusively composed pieces for the Paschal Triduum (Thursday, Friday and Holy Saturday) and the second part to reflections of authors on the mystery of the death and resurrection of Christ, through pieces like "Pange Lingua" by Bruckner, "Adoramus te" by Mozart, "O Crux" by Sors, ââ"Christus factus est" by Anerio or "Pie Iesu" by Webber ".
Carrillo affirms that "It has been an immense pleasure to return to this temple and see it again full of assistants who sincerely applaud and who are excitedly moved by our interpretations." It is without a doubt a luxury for us to offer these recitals, but also the parishioners should be grateful to his pedáneo mayor and to his parish priest by the sensitivity shown towards the culture in general and to the choral music in particular ".
Moors and Christians
On the other hand the executive board agreed to award the silver medal of the Federation of Moors and Christians to the Murcian coral Discantus.
It is the second time that this award is given, which in the previous edition fell to the Police.
A simple act where the director of the choir, Ángel Luis Carrillo, accompanied by members of the choir, read the recognition of the Federation.
The solemn act of delivery of the medal will occur next February 23 in the environment of the Half Year Festive.
