The City Council places equality of opportunities between women and men as a strategic principle of corporate policy.
This Plan will provide access to employment, promotion, training and conciliation on equal terms between municipal employees and employees.
The Councilor for Modernization of Administration and Urban Development, José Guillén, chaired this morning the meeting of the Equality Commission, which will carry out the Equality Plan.
In February, the Negotiating Table, which includes, among others, the representatives of the five trade union sections represented in the City Council and in which all the political groups are present, approved the constitution of a commission for the preparation of the Plan. The Commission will work on matters of access to employment, professional classification, promotion and training, remuneration, work time management to favor work, personal and family conciliation, and the prevention of harassment.
"In these matters will be designed actions that involve improvements that allow progress in the achievement of real equality in the City of Murcia and by extension, in the whole of society" has highlighted José Guillén.
To carry out this purpose has been the legal representation of workers, the government team, with the Trade Union Sections that make up the General Table of the Negotiation of the City of Murcia, which are part of the commission for the development and follow-up of the Equality Plan for Employees and Employees of the City of Murcia, which also includes the areas of Personnel, Social Rights and the Delegate for Equality.
