The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, attended today the official reception of the patron saint of Murcia, Nuestra Señora de la Fuensanta, in the church of Carmen, and the subsequent procession to the Cathedral, which makes it "one of the the most special and outstanding days of the year in the city, "said the president.
López Miras, who expressed his "pride" for being Caballero de la Fuensanta, stressed that "La Morenica returns to Murcia to be in the Cathedral, along with all Murcia, during this time of Lent, Easter and Spring Festival ", adding that" these are dates that are intensely lived in the city and also a time of reflection and prayer for all of us who are believers ".
"Time also to ask for the most needy, for those who seek an opportunity that allows them to develop and also to continue looking at the sky waiting for the water that we need so much," said López Miras.
The patron saint of Murcia will remain in the Cathedral until May 14, once the episcopal ordination of the new auxiliary bishop of the Diocese, Sebastián Chico, is celebrated.
