The urbanization works have involved an investment of 3 million euros and are an action expected and demanded by the neighbors since it establishes a connection of the western neighborhoods with the center, organizing and substantially improving the road structure
The City of Murcia has opened this week a new road that gives access to a large area of El Palmar, behind Bodegas Bernal, which links the main street of the district with the street Palmeras.
The Plenary gave the green light to the Urban Planning and Environment dossier that has allowed to execute this work, which is fundamental to improve the accessibility to an area of expansion of the hamlet, with capacity for about 300 homes, of them about 250 collectives in block and 50 semi-detached houses.
It is, therefore, an action expected and demanded by the residents of the district, as explained by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Environment, Water and Garden, Antonio Navarro.
The road will connect an urbanization of recent construction with the roundabout of the main street of El Palmar, next to Bodegas Bernal.
It establishes a connection of the rest of the western districts of the expansion zone with the center, organizing and substantially improving the road structure.
The action has a great importance in the management of the center of the district, among other aspects, because it allows direct access to the main street and connection to the large development districts of the west.
The urbanization works have involved an investment of 3 million euros, and affect an area of 57,000 m2, of which 9,700 m2 correspond to green areas and 8,070 m2 to land of public facilities.
