Murcia becomes the national capital of board games, in which 2,000 young people will participate
Attending renowned authors and illustrators in the world of board games, as well as leading publishers in the national field
Young people can participate in demonstration workshops, exhibitions, make crafts and share a playroom.
There will also be an outdoor playground
The Jornadas Murcia Juega will have more than 2,000 participants from all over Spain, providing an alternative of healthy leisure and that has more and more fans, not only in the recreational area but also in education.
They will take place on March 16 and 17 in the Cagigal pavilion and will host several renowned authors and illustrators in the world of table games, as well as leading national publishers such as Tranjis Games, Mercurio, Venatus or Plast Craft Games .
Attendees can participate in demonstration workshops of Warhammer, Magic, Carcassone, contests, exhibitions, craft workshops, raffles for board games for participants and enjoy a playroom for schools that attend.
In the library there will be well-known games such as Virus, Uncomfortable guests, King Paparajote or Catán, as well as titles for more experienced players such as Agricultural or Civilization.
There will also be volunteers from the organization willing to teach anyone who wants to learn new games or just start playing board games.
In the outdoor play area, visitors can meet and participate in skill game tournaments such as Viking chess (Kubb), Molky or Crokinole and a lot of surprises that will help to better understand this world that is increasingly more booming.
There will also be a rest area with food trucks.
The participation of young people in board games is increasing and provides numerous benefits such as perseverance, patience, ability to concentrate, memory improvement, learn to decide, develop social skills and improve self-esteem.
In addition, visitors will be able to meet and play with some of the authors and illustrators of their favorite games such as Virus and they will have a playful passport that publishers and authors will seal when they participate that will allow them to participate in some draws.
Entries to participate can be made before the start of the tournament in the Cagigal pavilion.
