The University of Murcia has received positive assessment by the National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation (ANECA) to implement a bilingual Spanish-English itinerary in the degree of Law.
This report, favorable to the modification of the degree's syllabus, will favor the creation of an itinerary in which Spanish and English will be vehicular languages.
According to the report of the degree approved by ANECA, the Faculty of Law of the University of Murcia will offer 70 places destined to the constitution of a bilingual group that will carry out its studies in the frame of the aforementioned itinerary.
Students admitted to the UMU law degree who submit an official certificate of linguistic competence in the B2 language (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) or, failing that, can apply for membership in this group. certify that they have completed a Bachelor's degree in the English-Spanish bilingual modality or pass a specific test in English.
The completion of the bilingual English-Spanish itinerary in the degree in Law of the University of Murcia will allow future graduates to meet the growing demand of jurists with linguistic competence in the English language that exists today, both in the private sector and in the public sector.
In this sense, the delivery in English of subjects related to national law, international law or European Union law, among others, as well as the realization of internships in this language will facilitate the access of students to professions that need to be exercised in plurilingual jurisdictions, a circumstance that is increasingly frequent in the current legal market.
