This technique, which is used in more than 600 points of the municipality, allows to level the pavement of the street with the alcorque, which guarantees the security of the neighbors and helps to filter the rainwater, taking advantage of every drop of water
"In addition to embellishing the streets, the placement of trees in the urban road allows all residents of the municipality to walk through shadow areas, very important in Murcia, since they can reach 40 degrees of temperature at certain times of the year "José Guillén has reported
Murcia has numerous drainage pavements that allow trees to filter rainwater and integrate them into sidewalks.
The last ones have been placed in the Gran Vía de Murcia.
"By delimiting a tree with a tree, there can be a difference in level between the pavement of the street and the place where it is planted, and with this system the pavement is perfectly leveled, guaranteeing the security of the neighbors," said José Guillén.
The safety of pedestrians is the main reason why these systems are placed in various colors and made with material that allows the tree to filter the rainwater, ensuring the correct supply of the sample.
"In addition to embellishing the streets, the placement of trees in the urban road allows all residents of the municipality to walk through shadow areas, very important in Murcia, since they can reach 40 degrees of temperature at certain times of the year "José Guillén has reported.
In the municipality of Murcia there are now more than 600 drainage pavements in different spaces such as Plaza de las Flores, Plaza de Santo Domingo, Avenida de la Libertad, Plaza del Romea, or the most recent of the Gran Vía.
In this way, from the municipality of Murcia works to continue improving the spaces and green areas of the municipality.
