The rector of the University of Murcia, José Luján, and the president and founder of Mtorres, Manuel Torres, have held a meeting at the headquarters of the company in Fuente Álamo with the aim of establishing links between both institutions and collaborating together.
The visit to the MTorres facilities was also attended, by the UMU, by the Vice Chancellor for Employment, Entrepreneurship and Society, Alicia Rubio;
the president of the Social Council, Juan Antonio Campillo;
the director of the Transfer Office, Felix Garcia;
the Coordinator of Employment and Society, Esther Gras;
and Toñi Martínez, director of the Employment Orientation and Information Center.
All of them were received by Manuel Torres along with other members of his team such as José Luis Martínez, director of Corporate Relations;
Inés Gurbiendo, Plant Director;
and María Eugenia García, head of Human Resources.
The delegation of the UMU has been able to know in depth the work carried out by MTorres in the design, development and manufacture of aeronautical components, as well as tools and assembly systems for them.
After the meeting has agreed to maintain these synergies to implement action protocols that join the business and academic demands, to boost relations between the two institutions, to strengthen the employment pool of students nationally and internationally and promote progressive and lasting links .
