José Ballesta delivers the Gold Badges to the members of the Corps who are retiring, within the events on the occasion of their patron's day, San Juan de Dios.

The Mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with the Councilor for the Modernization of Administration and Urban Development, José Guillén, and the Councilor for Traffic, Security and Citizen Protection, Lola Sánchez, today delivered the Gold Badges to the retired professionals of the Fire Service of the City of Murcia, within the acts of the feast of his employer, San Juan de Dios.
Specifically, the mayor distinguished a total of nine retired firefighters: Francisco Fuster Bellot, Santiago Miranda Benito, Luis Miguel Hueva Espinilla, Santiago Sanchez Garcia, José Abellán Pérez, José Ruiz Sánchez, Salvador González Romera, José Tomás Gómez and Pedro José García Gomez
In his speech José Ballesta said that "societies charge their most valuable members to take charge of the tasks of greatest risk and responsibility" and wanted to emphasize the important work of "public service and unconditional delivery that you develop firefighters for all Murcia and Murcia, and thanks to which you have the recognition and sincere gratitude of the neighbors, for that direct and preventive work that you develop with professionalism and complete dedication ".
